Muren Guler

Muren Guler is the Managing Director of Global Energy Ltd. which provides consultancy on project and business development to multinational companies related to renewable energy, particularly utility-scale Solar PV by focusing on origination, development, co-development and investment opportunities in various regulated and unregulated markets in Europe, Northern Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, LATAM, Middle East, Central Asia, South East Asia.

He worked for SkyPower as Regional Manager of South-Eastern Europe including Turkey. Muren created utility-scale PV opportunities, structured and executed the company’s growth strategies, managed strategic local & regional partnerships including government authorities, national & regional utilities. He was involved in utility-scale project development activities in various countries including Europe, Central Asia, and Africa. Prior to SkyPower, he worked as Commercial Manager in Bulgaria for Renewable Energy International, headquartered in London, in the development of wind and solar projects where he developed 100 MW+ wind and solar projects. Muren was a founding member of the Bulgarian Wind Energy Association and was a member of the Supervisory Board during 2010-2013. He is a founder of Global Energy, which provided consultancy services for large-scale renewable projects and cross-border electricity trade between Turkey and Bulgaria. Muren oversaw the realization of the largest wind park in Bulgaria (SNWF-156 MW) which let him gain extensive hands-on experience including the execution of international contracts, project management, and development. He also gained experience in international trade operations in the Far East, Middle East, Europe, and N. & S. America. Muren is a special representative of the Energy Globe Award in Turkey.
Muren received a BA in Business Administration from Dokuz Eylul University (Izmir, Turkey) in 2004 and holds MSc Degree in Energy Technologies and Management from Sabanci University (Istanbul, Turkey) since 2014.
