He is a seasoned Power Sector professional with over 15 Yrs of rich experience associated with Cleantech, Renewable Energy, Electricity Distribution, and Business Consulting ventures with consistent success track record in key areas of Policy Advocacy & Advisory, Power Trading, Renewable Energy Sales, Energy Efficiency & Portfolio Management Services, Govt. Relationships, Strategic Partnership & Liaison. In his previous roles, he has championed and mentored India’s largest C&I portfolio under Open Access by Renewable IPP executed in India of cumulative capacity of over 275MW and was overlooking Marketing and Regulatory business teams.
He was also involved in policy affairs and relationship management representing developers’ interest for wind and solar power projects under National and State policy. Mr. Kumar has also worked extensively over a decade in power trading companies with credits of being 1st Power Trader to trade both Conventional and Renewable Energy to customers of C&I segment and has handled P&L for Electricity Distribution Franchisee operations in Odisha. Mr. Kumar is an MBA (Power Management) alumnus from prestigious National Power Training Institute, under Min. of Power and holds Mechanical Engineering degree.
